Eileen White is an artist living and working in Winchester, Hampshire, UK She is a site responsive artist working in a variety of media including artists books, alternative photography and print. She is currently artist in residence with the National Trust at Mottisfont, Hampshire.
We were so excited when Eileen agreed to take part in our Creative Q&A, and I really hope you enjoy her answers below...
ABOUT
Eileen's work relies heavily on a relationship with materials and process in particular paper and print. Her current work develops themes by referencing photographic analogue processes and gestural mark-making. Using alternative photography and printing techniques she continues to develop physical and meditative processes to capture a fleeting moment and illustrate a narrative about place.

Describe your creative style in 3 words.
Aesthetic, abstract and intimate.
What made you decide to be an Artist?
I didn’t really have a choice as it’s what drives me and as i get older i realise the importance of doing what you love.
What are you most proud of so far in your career, any highlights you’d like to share?
Working in the arts and creating work in some really special places, producing site specific work for an exhibition at Fort Brockhurst and at Mottisfont are both highlights.

Favourite tool you use in your creative practice?
My bone folder.
What top tip would you give to anyone who would like to turn their creative passion into their career?
Meet and connect with as many people as possible in your chosen field and avoid getting isolated.
