When Ingrid contacted me about using my Bloomsbury Moth wallpaper in her 1958 home in New York state, I was thrilled to hear about her vision.
After discussing the details, including the precise number of rolls needed to complete the space, the wallpaper was printed to order, and shipped directly to Ingrid’s home in the U.S. The result? A striking transformation that speaks volumes about the owner and her personality.
Ingrid shared her story: “I moved into this 1958 house, which hadn’t seen much decorating in the last decade or so—awful colors on the walls and very plain. Of all the changes I’ve made, April's wallpaper was by far the best choice. It instantly transformed the dining room (accent wall) and the pantry, giving them old-world charm.”
The wallpaper now wraps around a large dining space that’s filled with warm wood textures, making the colors in the design stand out beautifully.
“This paper has brought warmth and a sense of home to the rooms,” Ingrid said. “The pattern is complex and interesting—it will never feel boring. There are so many colors in the design that almost any paint color works as an accent.”
Even the paperhanger had positive feedback, calling it a “dream” to hang.
Ingrid used the wallpaper creatively in her pantry, combining it with wooden shelving, vintage glassware, and neatly organised foodstuffs for a cozy, layered look.
“In my decorating, I like to stand apart from the crowd,” Ingrid added. “This is a one-of-a-kind design that gives a space an artistic edge. I’m so glad I found it—I couldn’t be happier!”
It’s always a joy to see how people use my designs in their homes, and I’m thrilled that Bloomsbury Moth wallpaper helped bring Ingrid’s vision to life.
